and for one time the monks actually responded:

"Because yesterday, on our way to your village,

he proposed a bet on who of us would beat the other two and die first,

and now he won, the old rogue!

He even had a testament prepared!”

A tradition required to wash the dead and change his clothes before putting him on the funeral pyre, but the old monk had explicitly asked to leave the old clothes on him, since he had never been filthy for one day. ”

"I never allowed any of the filth of this world to reach me through my laughter."

His testament stated.

So the old man's body was placed on the pyre with the garments he was wearing when he had arrived,

and as the fire was lit and started licking on his clothes, to everyone's astonishment, suddenly fireworks of a hundred colours went exploding up and down and to all directions and finally the people who had gathered there also joined the laughter of the two wise man.

1:Look Within to Find Happiness

How often do you hear people say "I will be happy when ..."such as "When I get that thing, I will be happy," "I will be happy when I pass the exam" and "I would be happy if I had more money". I have heard these things before and I am sure that I will hear them again.

Many people want to believe that finding happiness is all about finding or getting something that they want. However, not many people have ever found long-term happiness by achieving a goal. There will always be another thing that they want. There will always be another exam or another dollar.

To break this vicious cycle, we must find our happiness somewhere else —within ourselves. In other words, happiness is pletely an inside job. The key to finding happiness is to understand that happiness is a choice rather than the result of an experience. We have been given duanwenw everything

We need to be happy. Allow yourself to choose happiness. If life was perfect, would you be happy? Life is perfect because we create it with our choices. Since we can create life, we can create happiness and choose how much better our lives can get!

Only when we can accept that life is perfect as it is, and that our lives are the sum total of everything that has happened up to this moment, can we accept the joy and the happiness we deserve.

2:searching because it is here.

Are you looking for a great opportunity? Well, you can stop searching because it is here.

The greatest opportunity that anyone could possibly hope for can be yours. duanwenw You don’t have to make a cash investment. You don’t even have to fill out an application form. This incredible opportunity can work for you no matter what your educational or professional background, no matter what your level of physical ability might be, duanwenw and no matter what skills you possess.

The opportunity in front of you is monly called "TODAY". This opportunity is full of power and has the potential to deliver whatever you desire. Your grand opportunity is here and now. It is in the precious, irreplaceable3 hours and moments which make up this day. Whatever the clock may read, today is just beginning. In front of you are 24 fresh and available hours until this time tomorrow, and there is so very much you can do with them. Today is an opportunity of the grandest proportions. No one, no matter how rich, famous, powerful or successful, duanwenw has an opportunity available to them with more potential than you have today.

In fact, you have the very same day available to you as the most successful person alive —on the very same day. Seize it, live it, and make it into something great.

3:Each time something in our life ends

Each time something in our life ends, it creates room for a new experience.

Within each new experience is a stepping-stone. Some are *** all stones and others are big ones. Some are fun and some are tiring, but with each passing day we learn why we are here, what our duty is, and why different people e in and out of our lives.

Each time a relationship ends or we leave a relationship, we must examine ourselves, our hearts and our souls. duanwenw What brought us to this person to begin with? How did we attract them into our lives? How did they bring us into their reality and why? Each step is part of the journey of finding out who we really are, why we were brought here, and why we go through pain sometimes.

We must first work on the inside and the outside will follow. Think about it. What is truly your life’s duty? Do everything you can to do it. It’s a journey. duanwenw Take the adventure.

You have gone through many rough periods in your life, and many wonderful times too. You have helped people through their rough periods. You know what to do.

You keep on getting right to the finish line and then you stop. Keep going this time. Cross that line. duanwenw You are deserving and capable. Sometimes if we just work on removing anger, everything else will flow.

You are loved, dear one. This is the beginning of a beautiful future. Someone loves you and will be there for you. Always remember that we are never alone!

The Fox and the Grapes

One hot summer's day a Fox was strolling through an orchard till he came to a bunch of Grapes just ripening on a vine which had been trained over a lofty branch. "Just the thing to quench my thirst," quoth he. Drawing back a few paces, he took a run and a jump, and just missed the bunch. Turning round again with a One, Two, Three, he jumped up, but with no greater success. Again and again he tried after the tempting morsel, but at last had to give it up, and walked away with his nose in the air, saying: "I am sure they are sour."

The first time I ran, like really ran, was during middle school gym class. It took me 11 minutes and 47 seconds to finish a mile. I've been running ever since.

Running is the kind of thing where you put in the time and expect to see results, and let me be the first to tell you: It is supremely discouraging when you don't. It's discouraging when you run a five-mile race with your entire family and e in a solid 15 minutes behind everyone else, and it's discouraging when that time is no faster or slower than your five-mile time five years ago.

And yet, my alarm is already set for 6 a.m. tomorrow, even though it's probably going to be rainy and definitely going to be cold and even though most of the time, I really hate running.

Don't ask me why. All I know is this: As much as I hate running, I love being a runner.

There's some kind of camaraderie beeen people who spend more money each year on running shoes than on all their other shoes bined, and there's some fundamental similarity beeen people who can cross 10 miles without pausing.

On days that I run, I exert myself purely for exertion's sake. If you run too, you get why.

When you're a runner, your people are the girls with hair elastics on their wrists and the boys with shorts shorter than yours. They might be better, faster or stronger than you, but you belong with them.

It took me almost 10 years of plodding along at an 11-minute mile before I realized that I could call myself a runner, no matter how slow I go or how many races I lose.

I've laced up my shoes at least once a week since the first day I stepped foot on a track in middle school. Some weeks it's every day, some weeks it's not. Some days, I'll barely go more than a mile, and some days, I'll walk more than I jog. I may not have medals, but I have fresh air, time alone, and creaky knees and tight quads.

For me, that's enough. I run, so I am a runner.

The gas station nearest my house happens to face a strip club. It is apparently a very successful strip club, as they could afford to install a LCD screen on their roof that might be visible from the Space Station. It's certainly visible from the gas station. At some point my eyes will drift up while pumping gas, and there will be a one-story image of a young woman in some stage of near-undress.

As I was getting some gas this morning, I wondered for the first time what a woman pumping gas thought when she looked at that screen. Though it would depend on the woman, I thought. A woman who had once been an exotic dancer herself would certainly look at that image differently than a Catholic nun.

The image would look different to each of us. And when I say look different, I mean we would be seeing what amounts to a different image. For while the young woman's pose and attire that I see are identical to the pose and attire that every other man, woman, and child sees, the story that image tells me is told uniquely by me, by my own ideas about women and advertising and maybe even gas stations.

The image is nothing; the story is everything. Good to remember if you're a writer. Writers don't report the facts. The fact that there is a strip club with a giant LCD screen blazing near-nudity for all to see means nothing in reality. All that ever matters is what a person believes when they look upon it. What a person believes is the terrain of the storyteller.

And by the way, it is the only terrain of the storyteller. Storytellers, whether they are conscious of it or not, wish to alter reality. We are not so interested in changing the image that flashes on the great LCD screen of the world. Mostly that's beyond our control. We could march, or protest, or fill out petitions to get the screen changed, but it's faster, ultimately, to tell ourselves a story about what we see there.

I sometimes fet I have to power to change that story. My mind drifts as idly from thought to thought as my eyes drift from gas pump to pinup. What occurs in this exchange beeen the world I look upon and the story I tell can happen so fast, can be so habitual, that I can lose track of who is telling the story I am hearing. The moment I remember, the moment I see my mind as a blank page on which to write my life, I am the author once more, and my life is mine again.

A woman baked chapatti for members of her family and an extra one for a hungry passerby. She kept the extra chapatti on the window sill. Every day, a hunchback came and took away the chapatti. Instead of expressing gratitude, he muttered the following words as he went his way: “The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, es back to you!”

The woman felt irritated. “Not a word of gratitude,” she said to herself… “Everyday this hunchback utters this jingle! What does he mean?” One day, she decided to do away with him. She added poison to the chapatti she prepared for him!

As she was about to keep it on the window sill, her hands trembled. “What is this I am doing?” she said. Immediately, she threw the chapatti into the fire, prepared another one. As usual, the hunchback came, picked up the chapatti and muttered the words: “The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, es back to you!”

Every day, as the woman placed the chapatti on the window sill, she offered a prayer for her son who had gone to a distant place to seek his fortune.

That evening, there was a knock on the door. As she opened it, she was surprised to find her son standing in the doorway. He was hungry and weak. As he saw his mother, he said, “Mom, it’s a miracle I’m here. While I was but a mile away, I was so famished that I collapsed. I would have died, but just then an old hunchback passed by. He was kind enough to give me a whole chapatti. He said, “Your need is greater than mine!”

She remembered the poisoned chapatti that she had made that morning. Had she not burnt it in the fire, it would have been eaten by her own son!

It was then that she realized the significance of the words: “The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, es back to you!” Do good and don’t ever stop doing good, even if it is not appreciated at that time.

The Wise Old Man and the River

Once upon a time, there was a wise old man who lived in a small village by the river. One day, a young man came to him and said, "Old man, I want to be wise like you. Can you teach me your secrets?"

The wise old man looked at him and said, "Sure, but first, let's take a walk by the river."

They walked in silence for a while until they came to the river. The wise old man suddenly pushed the young man into the river and held him under the water.?

The young man struggled and fought to get free, but the old man held him firmly. Just when he was about to pass out, the old man pulled him out of the river and helped him catch his breath.

The young man was furious and demanded an explanation. The old man calmly replied, "When you were under the water, what did you want more than anything else?"?

"I wanted to breathe!" the young man gasped.

The old man nodded and said, "That's the secret to wisdom. When you want to be wise as much as you wanted to breathe, then you will be."

The young man was humbled and realized that wisdom was not something that could be learned overnight, but a lifelong pursuit.?

Moral of the story: Wisdom cannot be taught, but it can be pursued. It takes patience, perseverance, and a deep desire to learn

Sometimes your biggest weakness can become your biggest strength. Take, for example, the story of one girl who decided to study judo[柔道] despite the fact that she had lost her left arm in a car accident.

The girl began lessons with an old Japanese judo instructor. The girl was doing well. So she couldn't understand why, after three months of training, the instructor had taught her only one move.

"Instructor," the girl finally said, "Shouldn't I be learning more moves?"

"This is the only move you know, but this is the only move you'll ever need to know," the instructor replied.

Not quite understanding, but believing in her teacher, the girl kept training.

Several months later, the instructor took the girl to her first tournament[比赛]. Surprising herself, the girl easily won her first two matches. The third match proved to be more difficult, but after some time, her opponent became impatient and charged. The girl deftly[巧妙的] used her one move to win the match. Still amazed by her success, the girl was now in the finals.

This time, her opponent was bigger, stronger and more experienced. For a while, the girl appeared to be overmatched. Concerned that the girl might get hurt, the referee[裁判] called a time-out. She was about to stop the match when the instructor intervened.

"No," the instructor insisted, "Let her continue."

Soon after the match resumed, her opponent made a critical mistake: she dropped her guard. Instantly, the girl used her move to pin her opponent. The girl had won the match and the tournament. She was the champion.

On the way home, the girl and her teacher reviewed every move in each and every match. Then the girl summoned the courage to ask what was really on her mind.

"Instructor, how did I win the tournament with only one move?"

"You won for two reasons," the teacher answered. "First, you've almost mastered one of the most difficult throws in all of judo. Second, the only known defense for that move is for your opponent to grab your left arm."

The girl's biggest weakness had become her biggest strength.

For the "failure" of the word, I do not think we are strange. After all, no one failed, but also on more than one occasion. However, we should be the attitude of how to deal with failure? Here, I want to say is: Laughter on the failure!

Do not know if you have never heard such a story: The United States, a Hollywood film star, also has been the United States, "and Time magazine," the "great American," the ranks of successful people - but also from a series of setbacks and failures to get out of of. His poor origin. Student days, he's very bad results. To make matters worse, he is not only a natural-born left-handed, but also "reading disorder", to be considered as mental retardation. In the fledgling, he would be black because of the skin, do not be negative ...... handsome but he is still confident of his family, said: "Looking at it, not ten years, I will become a Hollywood the star! "but it is not plain sailing: the first" debut "is just a flash appeared and no small role in a penny fee. Although they subsequently appeared in four films, and films which he also starred in the leading role, but the plot of the film due to poor performances and his immature and have failed ... ...

However, all this did not knock him. A continual process of reflection and improvement of his own, and finally in 1986 a U.S. Navy fighter pilots describe the film - "Top Gun" in the early success.

I think we all know do not think I said that is Hollywood superstar Tom - Cruz.

In fact, the successes and failures as a cycle between the two are closely related, there will be a successful failure.

Therefore, when we failed, the need not pessimistic. Not only that, we may be able to lift the spirits of the laugh! Because I have always think: God is a girl. And, God is not only a gril, but also a headstrong girl. Yes, she likes to make things difficult for our people to open such a joke. And we need to do is to withstand the test. Although we will its failures, but we still have to fight on despite repeated setbacks. To believe that God is fair, a joke is only temporary, you will eventually succeed!

In fact, failure is often a person, but is also often successful. All this is like the spring: Spring to Spring will come again and spend another grateful to the Fair ... ... when the failure of a little nearer, a little bit away from the success, we should believe that as long as the persistent efforts to climb, the success in the near will definitely come again, after ... ...

To remember: Even if a fall should be proud to smile!

What is also hesitant? Let us laugh together on the failure of the successful Meet it!

因为,我一直都认为:God is a girl。

Turning round again with a One, Two, Three, he jumped up, but with no greater success.
