狗和影子（The Dog and the Shadow）

It hened that a Dog had got a piece of meat and was carrying it home in his mouth to eat it in peace. Now, on his way home he had to cross a plank lying across a running brook. As he crossed, he looked down and saw his own shadow reflected in the water beneath. Thinking it was another dog with another piece of meat, he made up his mind to he that also. So he made a snap at the shadow in the water, but as he opened his mouth the piece of meat fell out, dropped into the water and was never seen more.

The Fox and the Grapes

One hot summer's day a Fox was strolling through an orchard till he came to a bunch of Grapes just ripening on a vine which had been trained over a lofty branch. "Just the thing to quench my thirst," quoth he. Drawing back a few paces, he took a run and a jump, and just missed the bunch. Turning round again with a One, Two, Three, he jumped up, but with no greater success. Again and again he tried after the tempting morsel, but at last had to give it up, and walked away with his nose in the air, saying: "I am sure they are sour."

Angel

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born.

One day the child asked God: "They tell me you are going to send me to earth tomorrow but

God smiled at the child saying: "Your angel will Place your hands together and will

teach you how to pray."

The child said: "I‘ve heard on earth there are bad men. Who will Protect me?"

God put his arm around the child, saying: "Your angel will defend you - even if it means

risking life!"

The child looked sad, saying: "But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."

God hugged the child: "Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you

the way to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heen, but voices from earth could already be

heard.

The child, in a hurry, asked softly: "Oh God, if I am about to lee now Please tell my

Angel’s name!"

God replied: "Your angel‘s name is of no importance...you will simply call her MOMMY!"

上帝把手放在小孩身上，说，“你的天使将会保护你，甚至会冒生命的危险！”

小孩看起来有些悲伤，他说，“我将会一直感到悲伤因为我再也看不到你了。”
